
Introduction
The Next Step Foundation provides comprehensive support to veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness through coordinated employment, housing stability, and supportive services. Veterans Pathways to Stability is designed to help veterans overcome barriers, secure meaningful employment, and achieve long‑term stability and self‑sufficiency.
Who We Serve
This program serves eligible veterans who face barriers to stability, including housing insecurity, unemployment or underemployment, limited access to job training, justice involvement, or other challenges that impact economic and personal well‑being.


Employment and Workforce Development
Veterans may receive employment‑focused services designed to support career advancement and long‑term success, including:
✓ Individualized employment and career planning
✓ Job readiness and soft skills development
✓ Job‑driven occupational training such as CDL and construction pathways
✓ Connections to employers and job placement opportunities
✓ Follow‑up support to promote job retention and career growth
Housing Stability and Homelessness Prevention
Veterans Pathways to Stability supports veterans in securing and maintaining safe housing through coordinated services, including:
✓ Referrals to emergency, transitional, and permanent housing resources
✓ Coordination with homeless shelters and Continuum of Care partners
✓ Housing navigation and stabilization support
✓ Services for veterans at risk of homelessness



Supportive and
Social Services
To support overall stability, veterans may also receive coordinated access to supportive services, including:
✓ Case management and individualized support
✓ Referrals to benefits and community resources
✓ Transportation assistance and other stabilization supports
✓ Ongoing coordination with partner agencies
